This is the third of three recent posts from Conservative MP, John Redwood that I wanted to share with you;
“160 countries around the world are not members of the EU but they are able to trade quite successfully with EU member countries. The main aim of the Stay in campaign is to terrify UK voters into thinking if we leave we uniquely will be unable to sell into the EU single market.”
Of course this is nonsense, as it will hurt the EU far more than it could hurt the UK. When we leave we will, overnight, become the EU’s largest trading partner – are they seriously going to jeopardise that opportunity simply out of spite? No.
But what is true is that the majority of UK businesses will benefit as a result of leaving;
“Out of the EU there would be one huge improvement. All the rules and regulations we have to impose on all our business and trade would only have to remain on those goods and services we supply to the EU.”
